A total of 5,236 complaints on election law violations have been received by the Election Commission as of today.
Out of the 5,236 complaints, 1,011 complaints have been received to the National Election Complaints Management Centre while the majority of 4,225 have been received to the District Election Complaints Management Centres.
Meanwhile, poll monitoring body People's Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) said it has received a total of 1,734 complaints on election law violations with 1,376 confirmed cases.
The number of complaints made on acts of violence are 66 that include 10 cases of grievous assaults, 22 cases of assaults, one shooting, one incident of threats and intimidation using firearms, eight incidents of damage to property, 17 threats and intimidations, seven incidents on attacks on offices of candidates and political parties.
However, no incidents of murders or abductions have been reported.
The most number of complaints have been made on incidents of carrying out illegal election propaganda. There are a total 1,027 cases in this regard with 896 confirmed incidents.
Meanwhile, 99 incidents of abuse of state power resources and employees and 166 incidents of giving incentives with political objectives have also been reported.
