SriLankan Airlines flights to China & Jeddah suspended

SriLankan Airlines has canceled its flights to Jeddah from March 15 to April 30 due to restrictions imposed by Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority (GACA) on foreigners entering Saudi Arabia.

However flights to Riyadh and Dammam will continue.

Also SriLankan Airlines has decided to cancel flights between Sri Lanka and China from March 10 to April 30 due to the current situation.

SriLankan Airlines continued its flights to China until today,although many airlines suspended flights to China.

The baby admitted to the Badulla hospital tests negative for corona

Tests have confirmed that the infant admitted to Badulla General Hospital due to certain suspected symptoms of coronavirus, has not been infected with coronavirus 

The seven-month-old infant, who arrived from South Korea with his parents on 27th, has left the hospital today.

Students from several countries to be quarantined

According to the Ministry of Education, all students, teachers returning to Sri Lanka from China,South Korea and Italy will be subjected to a 14 day quarantine period.

The Ministry of Education has issued a special announcement today (6th) advising all Heads of Schools and Institutions to inform the relevant parties.

The request was made following a request made by the Ministry of Health to the Ministry of Education.

Kuwait steps back with the PCR medical certificate

The government of Kuwait has announced that it does not require a PCR medical certificate to ensure that Sri Lankans traveling to Kuwait are not sick with the corona virus.

The law was enacted to several countries including Sri Lankans landing to Kuwait from 8th March.

This decision was made due to technical difficulties in some countries to test for corona virus.
