Passengers from three countries to be quarantined for 14 days

The Director General of Health Services, Dr. Anil Jasinghe says that all passengers from South Korea, Italy and Iran will be quarantined for 14 days.

He said this applies to both Sri Lankans and foreigners.

The Health Ministry has decided to suspend the arrival of tourists from the passenger ships.

He was speaking at a press conference held at the Health Ministry auditorium this morning.

"It takes some time to identify those places. If a large number of foreigners arrive at the same time, they can all be embarrassed. Therefore we hope to inform the Embassies and the countries through the Ministry of External Affairs.

This is not an easy task.  If a corona situation arises in Sri Lanka, it will become a national disaster.
