Warner gifted his man of the match award - a replica World Cup trophy in an engraved wooden box - to a young Aussie fan in the crowd.
The opening batsman was awarded man of the match in his side’s 41-run win, blasting 107 for his first century in international cricket since December 2017.While his display on the field was all class, his efforts off it were even better.
He spotted the youngster while signing some autographs and thought he’d appreciate the award more than him.
“It’s really awesome,” the boy told the World Cup social media team.
“We were just waving the flag and he just came over and gave it to me.”
